Purim Mask-Her-Aid!

Purim's here, a time for wearing a mask in celebration of Esther, and her aid that saved the Jewish people from the evil designs of Haman.

As we get ready for our annual Megillah reading and Purim spiel, here's some music to get into the mood, based on a song by the Jewish pop star Pink, here is Raise Your Mask by The Fountainheads:

Evil master, getting nast'ierPlanning for a big disasterJews are worried, what's the storyMordechai sacks his clothes
So raise your mask if you are brave in all the right ways Show your hidden face. We will never be never beAnything but true and always straight up, bold and fearless Jews Won't you come on and come on and make some noise Just come on and come and stamp your feet Won't you come on and come on and raise your glassJust come on and come on and raise your mask... with me
I can do this, I'm not afraid. Ok, here goes...Now it's time to tell the KingAnd I'm takin' back my ringAnd my plans have all been blownBut we can always, we can always: party on our own.
Let me hear ya in Hebrew!Layehudim Hayta Ora Vesimcha Vesason VeyikarWe will never be never beAnything but true and always straight up, bold and fearless Jews So raise your mask if you are brave in all the right ways Show your hidden face. We will never be never beAnything but true and always straight up, bold and fearless Jews Won't you come on and come on and make some noise Just come on and come and stamp your feet Won't you come on and come on and raise your glassJust come on and come on and raise your mask... with me
