Welcoming Our New Officers and Trustees

One of the main orders of business for our annual congregational meeting, which was held on June 26, was the election of officers and trustees. We are pleased to share with you the results of the election.

Three of our officers were re-elected to new two-year terms:  Lance Strate as President, Mark Rosenberg as Financial Secretary, and Michael Fishbein as Treasurer.

Elka Oliver was elected as our new Vice-President, and Marilyn Katz was elected as our new Recording Secretary. Both have been serving on our Board of Trustees, and now take their place as officers. Congratulations to Elka and Marilyn!

Outgoing officers Michael Raskin, who served as Vice-President for the past two years, and Virginia Gitter, who served as Recording Secretary for the past two years, were elected to three-year terms as Trustees. We thank you both for your service as officers, and look forward to your continued contributions as members of the Board of Trustees.

Four brand new Trustees were voted in:  Susan Grey, Jody Pugach, Doris White, and Sandra Zornek. Congratulations to you all, and thank you for your willingness to contribute to the leadership of our congregation!

Two of our current Trustees were re-elected to new three-year terms: Norm Rosen and Annette DeMarco. We thank you for your continued service as members of the Board.

Finally, Trustee Howard Goldstein completed his term on the Board, and we thank him for his work on behalf of Adas Emuno, and look forward to his continued contributions as a member of our internet committee.

The new Board took their seats as of July 1st, but will be formally installed in a ceremony during the Shabbat service on Friday evening, September 5th, along with the installation of our new Cantor-Educator, Sandy Horowitz.

Once again, on behalf of Congregation Adas Emuno, we offer our heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to you all!
